Richard Woods from Crosby has been awarded the Cape Observer Comica Graphic Short Story Prize 2015. He wins £1,000 cash and and his 4-page story will be published in the Observer New Review.

Richard Woods says:
“To win any competition is pleasing, to be chosen from such a field of obvious talent is doubly so. That the panel includes the writer of Novel Graphics * and a journalist whose review of A Taste of Chlorine led me to buy it just adds to the nice warm feeling.
“My son is starting what I hope will be a long and satisfying journey with comics; he likes Asterix and Tintin and has just discovered several boxes of musty 2000 ADs. He likes the dark Judges: Death, Fire, Mortis and Fear, my favourite judges are more human.”
